Our faculty members obtain over two million dollars in research grants each year. Over 500 graduate students, including about 100 PhD students, and several post-doctoral fellows and invited researchers contribute to research in our department.

Research Centres

Currently there are 3 Research Centres within the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department:

  • The Centre for Industrial Control (CIC) est. in 1983
  • Concordia Centre for Advanced Vehicle Engineering (CONCAVE) est. in 1985
  • The Concordia Center for Composites (CONCOM) est. in 1979

Proceedings of the PhD seminars

As a requirement for their degree, all doctoral students give a seminar in their third year of study. To see the 2008-09 proceedings of this seminar series please see here.

Thesis Database

The Thesis Office produces an online database of all theses produced since 1978. It is searchable by convocation, degree, supervisor, thesis title key words or student.
